My thoughts exactly. If you've already decided you're rebuilding this year and can't compete, pull the trigger. It's a little early to throw in the towel though, so I'd say no.

I'd trade Manny for the right keepers but agree about Maybin and Jones. Not sold on either and Manny is likely to be more valuable over the next three seasons.

I don't think it's bad value for an aging slugger (he's 38 in May), but here might be the case of being better served just keeping him.

I like Maybin, but he's potentially a new Mike Cameron, who by and large goes undrafted. Jones is solid all-around talent: most keepers aren't deep enough for him to truly excel.

Manny, on the other hand, will burn out rather than Vladdy's slow fade away.

I myself turned down giving up Jay Bruce for Manny today, but I was advised here to do it, for the record. You could aim higher if you wished.

You could do a lot better for Manny. He may be getting up there in age but he's still a force. If you want to move Manny, think quality, not quantity.
