Help me pick 2 keepers

Postby unscared99 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 9:59 am

10 Team AL Only Roto league
5 x 5 league
Here are my options for the keepers I have. The number following them is the round that I have to give up to keep that player.
I need to pick 2.

Chris Davis (Tex - 1B,3B) (5)
Aubrey Huff (Bal - 1B,3B) (18)
Justin Morneau (Min - 1B) (2)
John Lackey (LAA - SP) (6)
Francisco Liriano (Min - SP) (7)

Thanks

Huff in the 18th is amazing value, you almost HAVE to keep him. And then I'd go with Davis, I'm a believer.

I vote for Huff and Liriano. They are the 2 best values by far, in my opinion. I know that alot of people are very high on Davis, but the 5th round isn't that great of value for him.

Same. Huff is a good value there but not someone I would keep given only two options. I think he has just as much chance to completely collapse as he does to repeat 2008.

is this the first year of the keeper? How did Davis get such a high draft pick assigned to him?

I would still pick him though... b/c next year, he'll be a top 3 rounder.
Morneau... price tag is too high
Pitchers should still be around in the draft at those rounds... so if you feel great about one of them...keep them. If you think you could get someone better with you 6th or 7th rounder... throw them back... the worst you could do would be to redraft them.

I know they share positions... but with those costs... i'd go with davis and huff (he's costing you nothing)
do you have a CI position? or just a UTIL?

good luck ;-D

I only play in aucion league, not drafts. So I am not to aware of players average draft position. But don't you think that C Davis will still be there in the 5th round? Or is he going before that? Unless you can also keep him next season for a 5th round pick, I don't see the value.

Not in an AL-only league. I see him going around 6th or 7th round in a mixed league. Add in the keeper factor and there is no way he is availabe in the 5th.
