In a 4x4 dynasty league (started in '98): Thinking about trading Alex Rios for Dukes.
Noteable notes: -Rios is my backup OF, if he was a starter for me, I would understand people saying DON'T DO IT
-Since Rios is not starting for me, thinking about doing it to roll the dice that Dukes' ceiling will eventually be higher than the player that Rios is now
Rios is already in his late 20's, we've probably seen his peak. Anyone think that Dukes could grow be a solid power/Rbi producer or should I just keep Rios?
Thanks for your thoughts and I'm sending good mojo to all your teams....
Dukes is better than Rios, so I like the deal. But Rios seems to have more perceived value, so I agree that it may be worth it to try to get a little more.
My thinking is... Rios is already 28 and he's hit 20 HRs only once. I don't need his steals because I have Carl Crawford as my SB source. In my dynasty league, young talent is premium. I think Rios has hit his ceiling and while Dukes might not hit .295, I think he potentially could be a 25 HR/100 Rbi guy.
That is just my humble opinion.
Thanks to those for providing input, whether it's positive or negative....
dont like it at all. you should have been able to get dukes for much less. i mean, just look at the ADP: rios 45, dukes 276. and since when is 28 too old for a dynasty?
