Keeper help

Postby mrdirt73 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 11:42 pm

6th year of a 12 team 6x6 roto league (2b and Holds are the extra cats)

We have no CI, or MI. 4OF, and 3 utils.

I can keep 8, and I pick 8th.

Hanley
Utley
Sizemore
Longoria
Alex Rios
Nick Markakis
Francisco Liriano
.
.
.
Ortiz
Alexei Ramirez
Joey Votto

Should I keep Ortiz for my first Util spot? I'm kinda leaning against this just because of his age, and recent decline.
Or
Alexei for my last OF,
Or
Votto for my 1b?

I would go Votto with Alexei just behind him. If you needed a SS or 2b it would be Alexei for me.

I like Alexi too. Maybe even keep Votto over Liriano depending on the pitching going back in the draft.

I would say Votto, he has good potential, Alexi will hit okay in the hr department and provide some sb, but he doesnt walk and has no plate discipline so I see his ba regressing to Dan Uggla numbers. I like Big Papa personally but I avoided him in my drafts because of the decline,

please help with mine?

I like Alexei due to the position scarcity issue....but Votto is a very close 2nd. Can't go wrong with either of them.

No way I would keep Ortiz over either of those guys.
