So I sent this around at work, and now - suddenly - MasterCard is considering taking this and redesigning it so that you can pay with your credit card by simply showing it to a web cam (think iPhone, etc). Obviously, this wouldn't be for everyone, but the biggest advantage is that it would actually be more secure than typing in your information. You'd be immune to trojan keystroke recorders, the data stream would be examining images, which are easier to obfuscate during transmission, and packet sniffers would have a significantly harder time intercepting this information. Additionally, we believe there would be a ton of new security options that haven't been considered before, because the medium hasn't been available.
You guys want to be a test group and simply give me some feedback on that?
How would you feel about simply waving your card in front of a camera to pay for something?
