I'm pretty confident he'll hit between .220 and .300 with between 15 and 35 HR and get between 50 and 100 or so R and RBI.

He isn't really projectable imo, just gotta decide where you are willing to draft upside and not worry anymore about the risk.

I think people forget how bad he was the last few years. There is a chance that he can repeat 08 but I would certainly not pay for him to find out this year.

I don't think people are paying for 2008 since his MDP is 150. I would think just based on 2008 numbers he would top 100, actually 60 for those that go by Yahoo.

I like the 1B/3B eligibility and we use two UT spots in my league so if I can afford the .270 AVG, I'll take the 25 HR, 90 RBI and 85 R's towards the 10th round if he's there for the taking depending on how my team already looks and who else is available.

Basically, I'm not targeting him, but won't be disappointed if he can be useful for my squad.

This is sorta what I was thinking. He's consistently falling to the 13th and 14th rounds of 12-team redrafts and I believe he's worth looking into in that area. Especially with his dual eligibility.

557AB / 23HR / 76R / 83RBI / 3SB / 272AVG / 781OPS
If he performs to this fantasy industry consensus he's a servicable (not special not bad) starting CI in 12 team mixed leagues.

I probably would too, but I can see why someone would take Cantu in that area also.
