Trade Help....WHIR

Postby da bears » Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:10 pm

League is 6x6 standard categories but we add in total bases as well. I am being offered Longoria/weaver or Lindstrom or Saunders for my A-Ram/Lester. Doesn't really seem like I am getting good value here but I'd like a little outside input as well. My pitching staff is mediocre already but the league has losses as well so it lessens the blow by just playing match ups instead of always throwing everyone out there. Leave a link I will get back to you and thanks in advance

Don't do it. Lester will have a big year this season, Weaver won't. Longoria will, but so will A-Ram (as always).

help please...!

I'll assume it's a re-draft league. This is a deal not worth making. This deal won't make or break your team....pass.

actually it is a keeper league where we keep 3 guys, one is a pitcher. I have Rollins and Liriano then some ok but not great options as my 3rd. Longoria would definitely be a better keeper option.

Aram's getting old, and Longoria's an amazing keeper option. The upgrade there is more significant to your team than the downgrade from Lester to Weaver. Gotta do this deal in a keeper.

thanks for the help with mine.

in a keeper league i would have to disagree and say do that deal... love aram and hes consistant year in year out, but in a keeper longoria has a ton more value... i think longoria's keeper value over aram makes up for the loss of lester..

little input?...

I don't think I do that. With only three keepers, I don't think you have to really pounce on youth that heavily: there will always be a heavy emphasis on the restocking draft.

I don't think Longoria's the better bet for 2009, and you'd really have to consider him a future lock for first round status (a la Wright or Braun or Cabrera) to justify this. I don't, and I don't want his sophomore year at this price.

I nearly traded Madison Bumgarner, Gamel, and Aramis for Longoria in a near dynasty before I "sobered up" and thankfully the other guy blinked, too. That would have stunk.
