My first post here, I'll quickly introduce myself....Hi my names Tophe...and im lookin for some advice and hopefully I can give some out once I start browsing the forums more.
So I just had my draft, Standard CBS H2H league, 10 teams.
Im giving up: Ryan Howard Ryan Zimmerman
I get: A-Rod Lance Berkman
Here is my roster: McCann, Brian C Howard, Ryan 1B Pedroia, Dustin 2B Zimmerman, Ryan 3B Peralta, Jhonny SS Hamilton, Josh CF Nady, Xavier RF Ordonez, Magglio RF Guillen, Carlos 3B
Active Pitchers Billingsley, Chad SP Lilly, Ted SP Perez, Oliver SP Pettitte, Andy SP Verlander, Justin SP Marmol, Carlos RP Rodriguez, Francisco J. RP
I think you should stick with what you have. Howard has been known to win teams championships down the stretch and Zimmerman should have a solid season with some emerging guys around him. Just accept the bad batting average from Howard then enjoy the second half runs he goes on.
Its not so much the batting average that bothers me as the K's. Its a H2H points league so the avg doesnt hurt me, but the K's are negative points.....
A-Rod's still better than Zimmerman moving forward, and you already have Guillen as a stopgap. I don't see Zimmerman as much more than EE (i.e., waiver bait).
And Howard? Huge risk: can't hit lefties, decling slugging, getting old fast. Sure, it might be 2011 before he's runing 1,000s of teams, but it's a ride I want off of ASAP.
