Why? Do you want to trust the 193 AB in LA that says Tex is a .350 hitter or the 2500 AB in Texas that say he is a .290 hitter?

I think you can put him down for .300+ in Yankee Stadium unless he melts under the pressure of New York.

I see it as a no question

Miggy
Tex
Howard

Miggy should see his avg return to the .310-.320 range he had in Fl and don't forget he led the league in HR last year. That should mean something in the range of 100 R and 125 RBI. Tex could see similar numbers with a healthy A-rod minus .010 on the BA. But A-rod is a ? And Howard is the man in HR and RBI, but the BA knocks him down a notch compared to the 2. Really can't complain about any though

Thank God someone asked this. I have the eighth pick in my draft and I was undecided as to who I would take at that spot if Miggy, Sizemore or Braun was gone. I have said all along that I thought that Tex stats are comparable to Miggy with a tad of a difference here or there. I feel much more comfortable taking Tex simply if the other 3 are gone. I rank them

1a Miggy
1b Tex

2 Howard.

I go for Miggy.

I would actually pick Howard second, if it weren't for that category killing ERA he had last year. If he could improve his swing and make some more contact, he'd be a beast. But I prefer Tex over him.

I had Howard last year, and I am staying away from him.

here's mine
1. Miggy
2. Tex
3. Howard

just like everyone else, but I'd take any 3. Miggy gets points because of 3b eligibilty in my league. But i'd gladly take howard too, just put around him so nice average guys and you have the beginnings of a championship team.

Miggy for sure - don't forget he is 3B eligible still

Then TEX - i love this guy, but he may still adjust slowly to start in NY

Howard isn't even in their league

For those who say Howard isn't in Tex league, i say bull.

Last 3 years earned

Howard $92
Tex $76

Don't let one years bad luck with babip fool you. Howard should hit .270 or so.

I don't know if I would say Howard isn't even in their league:

Howard '06: .313, 104 R, 58 HR, 149 RBI
Cabrera '06: .339, 112 R, 26 HR, 114 RBI, 9 SB
Teixeira '06: .282, 99 R, 33 HR, 110 RBI

Howard '07: .268, 94 R, 47 HR, 136 RBI
Cabrera '07: .320, 91 R, 34 HR, 119 RBI
Teixeira '07: .305, 86 R, 30 HR, 105 RBI

Howard '08: .251, 105 R, 48 HR, 146 RBI
Cabrera '08: .292, 85 R, 37 HR, 127 RBI
Teixeira '08: .308, 102 R, 33 HR, 119 RBI

Granted, Howard can't even touch the other two in BA, but Howard should easily hit 10-15 more bombs then either of them and 15-20 more RBI, so to say that Howard's not even in their league is a bit crazy.
