Trade for Bruce and Votto

Postby Ols » Tue Mar 10, 2009 3:57 pm

I'm trying to get Bruce from my buddy's team, and he has started out with an offer where he would be giving me both Bruce and Votto for Chris Davis and a pitcher. I have told him that I would not include Billingsley, Shields, or Greinke. Does this sound like a deal I should make or would I be better off standing pat? If yes, which pitcher should I offer?

Try Baker, then Volquez if he says no.

I'd protect Joba, but would definitely be willing to throw out Volquez which would look like a fair deal.

Don't give up any of your top pitchers in that trade. Maybe Johnson. And I am surprised you have Baker on your bench. He looks like your 3rd best starter to me.
