In a 5x5 league that does not count strike outs, isn't Reynolds a really good late round draft pick? I mean hes going to give you 90 or so runs, maybe 30ish home runs, and 95-100 rbis. Am I wrong? Anyone have any thoughts on him? I just dropped Weeks for him and I really like the move.

Well, to answer your first question, the biggest difference Reynolds and Dunn is that Dunn talks walks. Doesn't really mean that much in a standard 5X5 league, but in OBP or OPS league he's a stud.
Reynolds is worth grabbing if you can afford the non-BA friendly stat.

I do too, especially considering how shallow 3B is this year. In 5x5's, he's a great consolation pick that you can get much later than the mid tier guys (Beltre, Zimmerman, etc) that has a nice chance to outproduce them.

With Reynolds though you aren't sure what his floor is. Reynolds is a terrible hitter which makes him streaky and could be prone to seeing the "pine" throughout the season, he could very well put up a line of .230/20/75/75 if your not careful. He's not guaranteed 30hr, IMHO.
Alot of guys are called Adam Dunn lite, just none of them produce 40/100 every single year or whatever their own ideal numbers are. Reynolds is nothing close to a sure thing, wouldn't trust him as anything more than a CI.

Very true. I do like him as a late rounder if you're not thrilled with your 3B situation, though.

To answer your original question, yes. Reynolds has a pretty atrocious plate discipline which may affect his PT if he doesn't improve and everyone stays healthy. Therefore the risk with Reynolds is much greater.
