Utley for Phillips and Corey Hart

Postby motionman04 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:44 am

Is this a steal for me? The guy I proposed it to said he is thinking about it. Here are my OF's so far:

Carlos Lee
Carlos Quentin
Adam Dunn
Corey Hart
Lastings Milledge
Jayson Werth (Bench)

Can I afford to lose Hart?

What kind of league is this?
If you receive Utley, then yeah, I think you'll do just fine. You can take losing Corey Hart and you'll upgrade from Brandon Phillips. Aside from that, not much to add with the lack of info.

I'd do it. Hart and Werth are really the same player, so you're not losing much, if anything, by plugging Werth in. Go for it.

really like this deal for you...phillips is a good player, but utley is a stud who will put up near-guaranteed numbers...like someone else said, not much of a difference between hart and werth, and what difference there is, utley more than makes up for

I probably would've done the deal not knowing anything about your roster. The fact that the deal is basically Utley/Werth for Phillips/Hart makes it easier to pull the trigger.

Love this move for you. Utley is an all around stud and Werth will be more than competent filling in for Hart.

Don't forget how terrible Hart looked the last half of the year.

I like Hart a lot as a 5 category star, but Utley is head and shoulders above the competition at 2B. Go ahead with the deal.
