i like pence better than c young so i would rather trade him but either way it would help ut squad be balanced.

I tried C. Young already, he countered with pence. Neither is a consistent option but that is why I have rios and milledge in case I need to pick up the 20/20 slack there.

Although this trade helps you a ton, I initially think you could get more for Pence. I would almost try to package 2 of your OFers for a SP that is a tier above Volquez.

Rios is stretching it. The throw-in would have to be really good.

I'm thinking Pence/Milledge or Young

You gotta make some moves for sure. You drafted too many hitters that will be usless to you sitting on your bench. You need to load up and starters and double start them each week.

You certainly can withstand the loss of Pence but I'm not so sure I'd deal him for Volquez. I think you can do better.

my problem here is that there are serviceable pitchers on waivers, and hitters are going at a premium in my league. I stocked up on top caliber offense and went for middle pitching with good upside so I could stand to trade one of the OF guys for a top 25 pitcher. I'm not sure Volquez will profile as that, but I've tried going up a tier and i'm not getting anyone, especially predraft. I can either punt pitching the first month until someone will trade or pull the trigger now and hope volquez works out. I'm leaning toward the latter. I can always pick up a jair jurgens or jared weaver off waivers to fill innings space.

I would stick it out. Those are two decent options on the WW, and there is probably a small handfull more there. Do not trade just to trade. Someone will value those OFers more in a 5 OF + util league.
