I would be very surprised if the Yanks did this.... Tex has not played 3rd since college and Jeter he pulls alot of weight up there to get what many might see as a demotion.

Jeter seems like the kind of 'team' player that would refuse a move to benefit the team. It's all about him.
However I don't think there is any reason to shuffle Tex or Jeter around if indeed Arod is coming back in May. And if Arod ends up out for the season then I think they will look outside the org since it's not like they are replacing Jeter (if moved to 3rd) with a good player at SS. And I don't like moving a 180M 29 yr old to a position that he hasn't played since college (or did he play it in the minors).
