aaand this is exactly why kemp can't stick in the top of that lineup. he gets moved up to 5th today and goes 0-4 (so far, still 2 more innings to go when i posted this)...don't know if he's putting too much pressure on himself when he rarely gets moved up or what? it seems everytime he does get moved up though he puts up a goose egg. would love to see what his numbers are hitting in the top 6 compared to the bottom 3, but can't seem to find anyone who has that stat but i'm sure it would be an enormously skewed stat leaning heavily towards the bottom 3.

Finally gets moved up and goes 0-6 with 4 k's and 6 left on base. I know thats very bad but you can expect the guy to go 4 for 4 with 2 bombs everytime he gets moved up to 4th or 5th just to prove he belongs there. He going to have days like these, as does every player.

We will see where Torre puts him tomorrow.

yea bad game, but it'd be nice if he would get a solid spot in the lineup... always up down left right... he can definitely hit in the top end of a lineup... if he can hit like he has in the bottom of a lineup i definitely believe he can hit in the top end... 0-6's arent pretty, but they happen to the best of us.

I think its because he`s almost always 0-2 in the count.

back to batting 8th again today ... if this was any other manager other than Torre doing this i feel everyone would be like 'what the fug is this guy thinking batting him 8th' but torre gets the benefit of the doubt cuz he is who he is i guess... i know they're coasting with the best record in the majors and all that but it still doesnt mean that they wouldn't be better with him batting higher in the order... i just get more and more angry every night that he could very possibly be an NL Allstar and be batting 8th in a lineup with russell martin and furcal... makes no sense ... but i'll try to refrain from riding this dead horse over and over again and bringing it up ... but seriously why do none of the 'national' baseball talking heads talk about this?

Gotta love seeing a guy hitting .324 with an OPS of .890 batting eighth. I hope Joe Torre chokes on his wheatgrass.

the best 7 slash 8th hitter in baseball had another nice night! another bomb... i guess last nights 2 rbi night wasn't good enough for him to stay in the 5 hole...
