Who is better as a starting Catcher? Jeff Clement or Kurt Suzuki.
I'm in a 14 team roto league. I have Kurt Suzuki right now, and Clement is on waivers. I have a low waiver anyway (12 /14), and once you make a selection, your waiver number gets moved to last. I don't think I would take a big hit getting Clement if he is better. What do you think?

Whenever I am low on waivers like that I just wait till they process. No need to drop back to 14. I would take a chance on Clement. Not sure if he will materialize this year but he raked at Triple-A.

Wait for Clement to clear waivers, then pick him up. I think this is a must if you're in a keeper league. Clement has a lot of upside.

I actually like Kurt Suzuki to start the season. The 25-year-old hit almost .280 in 530 plate appearance, and that has its advantages. Clement can kill your average, but he does have better upside for sure. Suzuki is good enough to really not hurt you too much. I'd keep an eye on Clement for sure though. Either move is about the same.

That can't even be the case right now. Suzuki has done things in the majors while Clement clearly hasn't. Clement will develop into a better player in terms of counting stats, but it isn't a question Suzuki can help average. I just think it is closer than some people think.
