10 team keeper league, custom categories (standard 5x5 plus H, TB, OBP, SLG, H, TB, ER, QS). You must keep 5 players from your roster, although you can trade any player on your roster for any other player on another manager's roster up until the keeper due date. You can also trade post-keeper draft picks for players, as long as the managers each get a draft pick.

4 of my 5 keepers are Howard, Teixeira, Lincecum, and Kinsler. My 5th keeper was supposed to be ARod, but with the injury, I'm not certain what to do. I think I have three options:

1. Keep him and hope for the best.

2. Try to trade him. I've already started asking to see what people would be willing to do for him. The most interesting ideas so far are
--ARod, my 7th and 8th pick (keepers are picks 1-5, so it would be my 2nd and 3rd live pick) for Jose Reyes, his 10th and his 18th pick
--Holliday and Liriano (or Price) for ARod and Lincecum

3. NOT keep him, and hope that I can pick him up with a post keeper pick. If I did that, I would have McCann, Bay, Joey Votto, or Jay Bruce as the most keeper-worthy.

Any thoughts? Help? Advice? Keepers are due on Thursday. THANKS!!!

I think I would keep him and tell myself im paying a 5th rounder for what? 4 - 4.5 months of one of the best players in the game and hope he comes back to his normal level and all..should help you to win..and then I know I have him for future years too when hes past this

put him in DL and grab another body with some upside while he was out as well

those trades look tempting but I wouldnt do them..id honestly only part with him if someone gave a high pick or two in this format (and maybe no one will with the concerns but just saying thats what it would take) because then you are losing arod but getting the 5th guy you keep plus another impact pick thats a good deal

in general though id say just stick it out..youre getting value on him by basically losing a 5th rounder in keeper cost..keep posting if you get other trade offers though

Yeah, I'm not interested in the Holliday/Liriano deal. The Jose Reyes package is interesting, simply because its at least another obvious 1st round player coming back to me. Giving up those two picks would REALLY hurt my chances of winning anything this year (unless I get lucky, but I've been in this league for about 10 years now, and there aren't many draft mistakes in the first 10-15 rounds), but Reyes is a better keeper long term IMO. So I'm a little conflicted.

Any other thoughts?
