Best keeper? Bruce, E. Santana, Price, S. Drew, G. Soto

It's a 5x5 league using OBP rather than AVG. I already decided to keep Quentin and need to pick one more, so I'd appreciate help ranking these guys: Bruce, E. Santana, Price, S. Drew, G. Soto. Cueto and Kershaw are available too. Thanks, and WHIR.

I rank them as follows (assuming Santana's arm is fine). I don't think you can wrong with any of the top 5.

1. E Santana
2. G Soto
3. S Drew
4. J Bruce
5. C Kershaw
6. D Price
7. J Cueto

If you are looking for the help in the short term (1-2 years), then Santana. If your looking long term (2+ years), who has the potential to develop into a future 1st round draft choice, though his OBP will hurt you this year. Plus, if you only keep 2 players, I would almost always keep hitters over pitchers.

You wouldn't be faulted for one of these:

Bruce, Soto, or Drew (with the latter 2 being there for positional scarcity. However, I might give Drew the edge over Soto because there are plenty of sleeper catchers this year IMHO. Those that say catching is weak might want to look again at the sleepers.

I'd be happy with Posada, Napoli, Snyder, iannetta, doumit or martin fi you cannot get mccann, mauer or stash wieters away. thats some solid catchers.

SS is thinner. Outside of the Missile, Hanley and Rollins ack. Maybe Brandon Wood, maybe Rafeal Furcal and Drew is right there above the latter 3. He's undervalued especially in your format where he gets all kinds of hits. That is solid.

But Bruce has the highest upside of them all and is worth the risk.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
