Keepers Announced / Draft Order Determined / Advice Needed

Postby hscsoph » Sun Mar 08, 2009 10:33 pm

Hello all, I know you will look at this list of my 10 team league keepers and scratch your head, but you may only keep guys for two years and only two per year so a lot of talent is floating around.

My Keepers: David Wright, Miguel Cabrera

The other 18 keepers are as follows: BJ Upton, K Rod, Peavy, J Santana, Sabathia, ManRam, HanRam, Pedroia, Soto, Berkman, Morneau, Paplebon, Fielder, Utley, Sizemore, R Howard, J Hamilton and Pujols.

I got the #1 pick and think Reyes is a no brainer, agree? I don't know if I should maybe grab a Braun and try to skip steals and dominate with power and rbis. Please let me know your thoughts, on the way back I am going to def grab a Markakis type and a #1 starter, perhaps a Haren.

7X6 league

Categories: Runs, TB, Hits, AVG, HR, Rbis, Sbs
Wins, Saves, Holds, Era, Whip, K's

Also Sandoval is C eligible in this league, you think 13th round is too early to grab him? I love having a C eligible guy who doesn't play that position.

Post your link and I'll get back to you as well, WHIR

I agree with what you plan on doing.

Reyes should be your first pick. You can't go wrong with Braun, but it's just so much easier to fill your outfield with quality players than it is your infield. Reyes is consistently a dominating fantasy player and he's still getting better (I wouldn't worry at all about having both Wright and Reyes). Markakis would be a fantastic choice on the way back and it'd be a good idea to grab a pitcher with your next pick (so if Haren is the best avaiable, go with him).

Sandoval in the 13th might be a bit high, but it's reasonable. If you really want him then you might as well just grab him there. You'd pretty much assure that you're getting him. You could probably wait another 2-3 rounds and still get him, but it wouldn't be sure thing.

Reyes should be your first pick without question. That is a great 3 to start with...they will fill up alot of categories.
