It can always be worse. Canada decided to save their best pitchers for the game against Venezuela, and in the end, they ended up losing twice and not getting there because of that decision.
who was their best started? Scott Richmond?

Yep. And they saved Crain for the 8th inning of the last game when they were already behind by 4 runs. Terrible plan. It's one thing to lose with your best, but to go down like this...pretty bad.
