It's a 12-team, 5X5 roto league with OPS instead of BA.
My three keepers are A-Rod, Jimmy Rollins, and Brandon Webb.
I will have the #6 overall pick (then #19 and then #30). Here are the top players available (listed according to Yahoo! ranks:)
Kinsler (2b) Soriano (OF) Berkman (1b) Quentin (OF) Carlos Lee (OF) Vladimir Guerrero (OF) David Ortiz (Util) Ichiro Suzuki (OF) Matt Kemp (of) Brian Roberts (2b) Aramis Ramírez (3b) Kevin Youkilis (1b, 3b) Russell Martin (C, 3b) Curtis Granderson (OF) Álex Ríos (OF) Brian McCann (C) Cole Hamels (SP) Shane Victorino (OF) Jake Peavy (SP) Adrián González (1b) Jacoby Ellsbury (OF) Joe Mauer (C) Alexei Ramírez (2B,SS,OF) Roy Halladay (SP)
If Kinsler, Carlos Lee, or Berkman fall to me, I'm jumping at the chance to draft them.
But, they probably won't fall that far.
Do I consider taking Youkilis instead of Guerrero or Kemp (not interested in Soriano or Quentin)? He can play 3b until A-Rod gets back, and then shift over to 1b after that. He would also give me flexibility for later picks (if A-Ram or Ad-Gon are available, I can pick that guy on the way down).
But, I have the uneasy feeling that I'm buying high for a career year.
What do you think?

I do like Youk this year, but I think that would be buying pretty high on him. I would look elsewhere and maybe try to get Youk in the next round. Even if you miss out on him, just grab a 3rd baseman late in the draft to fill in for 4-5 weeks.

My thoughts too - it's possible that ARod could be out longer or might not be the same this season but from what it sounds I think you should be able to find a cheaper alternative for the short term. I think he'll be ok anyways and 4-8 weeks is quite a fraction when you factor in the whole season.
