Would I be crazy NOT getting Hanley in this trade? I'm in a 12-team roto (standard stat + OBP/Holds) keeper auction league. My team is listed below in my sig. I'm not too keen in losing about 100 projected runs, but it's Hanley. Getting Hanely also puts me well over the $26 budget (27.60). However, I would cut Kendrick (.80), Sandoval (.60) and drop Cahill from my minors and slip Price (.70) into that vacant minor slot since he's still eligable to qualify there. That would put me at $25.50 and .50 to spend on for two bats and one SP in the auction. What do you all think? WHIR!!!
C-Doumit, Lucroy 1B- Fielder 2B-Pedroia SS-Castro 3B-Longoria CI- Lawrie MI- H. Rameriz OF-Cargo Jennings Heyward U-Morneau Markakis Brown

Me personally, I wouldn't do it. Yes, Hanley is Hanley, but not only do you lose about 100 runs, you also lose about 60 steals. And if that's your entire OF, it's already kind of talent-thin.
Thanks for the help on mine!
It's only cheating on your favorite team if you get caught...Like the '07 Series.
you've got Rollins on the wrong side of 30, and Ellsbury who will likely be an SB stud while decent at runs/BA for a long while to come... on the other side is the best player in fantasy, at only 25, and is moving into the 3 slot in the order...
Looking at your lineup, you're kind of punting SB's with this move, but you add so much power and longevity with Hanley at SS. As Rollins fades in the next years, Hanley moves into his prime and you could have the best player, and the biggest position VORP, in baseball... for 5+ years.
Ellsbury is nice, and his steals can't be replaced, but his overall production is replaceable.
Hanley gets you only get a small boost in your power numbers and a big boost in OPS, but yous lose the 100 R's & 45-50 SB's. I would not do it, especially with all the changes you would have to make to your team.
i agree with the comment above...you have to do way much tinkering with your team in order to get one great player. you are going to be giving up a lot of steals and runs. i personally dont like making 2 for 1 deals.

Grab Hanley... (I may too)
Sorry you are wrong about Rollins. He just turned 30 last November. He'''ll be 31 after the season is over. Thats hardly old in baseball today. I would keep both Ellsbury and Rollins. Rollins is the # 3 shortstop in all of baseball and Ellsbury is just getting a chance to play. He'll get better and better. You lose too many runs and steals.Trust me I love Hanley as much as the next owner but not that much.
I'd do this deal. The power boost is worth the dip in SBs, and you may even be able to snag someone who can be a big steals performer (like Taveras in years past) from the WW or with the extra budget money. I know in some leagues Sandoval is eligible at C, which would be huge for you, but I'll assume that's not the case here. But yeah, Hanley is gold for ya.
