7 team AL only, 3 protections allowed; here are my realistic options:
Joe Mauer ($23) Matt Wieters ($6) Shin-Soo Choo ($6) Nick Markakis ($28) Adam Lind ($6) Josh Hamilton ($34) Koji Uehara ($6) Frank Francisco ($6) Joey Devine ($6) Brandon Morrow ($6)

I guess I would make it unanimous then. I have to agree with everyone about Markakis, Wieters, and Hamilton. Adam Lind is a nice choice though, I think now that he knows he's going to be a big leaguer from now on and not riding the AAA to majors shuttle anymore (not with Cito Gaston there anyway) that he'll put up a solid season. But he won't have the same kind of numbers the other 3 will. Mauer would have been a nice pick too since you know what you're getting with him, but Wieters will hit for a lot more power than Mauer does and will knock in more runs.
Thanks. I am pretty convinced on Markakis. Hamilton I still feel might be a bit pricey to protect. I like Shin-Soo Choo at the price (we count OBP, SLG, and Hits, and not Average or HR).
Wieters I still am unconvinced, only based on when the Orioles will bring him up.
But it is pretty unanimous on Hamilton, Wieters, and Markakis. I will take another look at those guys.
