Trade Carlos Lee for Brian Roberts?

Postby sox 06 » Sat Mar 07, 2009 10:23 pm

This trade has been proposed to me. I could use the SB and I have Ibanez/Cruz that I could plug in for Lee. Should I accept or reject the trade?

Aviles will do the job for you adequately enough. It's great that you have so much OF depth, hang on to it it will be beneficial during days off or if you suffer an injury. It's funny, I thing the people who are target Aviles specifically in drafts are over rating him, those who aren't targeting him are probably under rating him. Think Mark Loretta in his prime. He's a solid pick when the top guys are gone. You should really keep Carlos Lee.

NO NO NO. C-Lee is money in the bank for 30 jacks and a 300 avg. I wouldn't sweat the upgrade from Aviles to Roberts. Wait for a better deal to come along.

Keep Lee. He's been consistant for years. There should be speed available on the wire , since it's only a 10 team league. I like Roberts , but Lee is too much to give for him.

Keep Lee. He's a top 4-5 OF, and he's consistent as a Swiss watch.

You've got a slow team with depth in the of position and it's a move worth some consideration. You will lose the steals cat. each and every week. I think the move helps your team rather than hurts it. Roberts not only brings 30-40 steals, he also gives you a decent boost in avg. and runs scored. I would make the trade.

Could I trade Magglio for Roberts? The reason why I'm really trying to make a trade is I'm not as high on Aviles as most people are and the guy with Roberts also has Pedroia on his team.

I would not do it; you should be able to get more for Lee, or give up less for Roberts.
