Will answer your post...

Any trade suggestions/weaknesses appreciated. I'd like to trade to improve but not sure who to offer up for a more dominant 2B/OF/RP. Also, I'm a bit concerned about the Shef news out today. Thanks!

Its a shame about Sheffield being out, and if the roids thing continues to trail Bonds around, that could hurt. You do have decent backups until they get it figured out. Jackson is a huge late round pick-up. If Marte does end up with the closing job in Chicago, that would be huge. One last note, if R. Johnson comes back healthy...but will he? 42 and coming off his worst season ever.

ok, you have to deal from your strength (but also something you don't need). Therefore you need to trade Luis Castillo. Find a team who lacks speed and/or a 2b. Then offer Castillo and an OF for a better OF. i.e.Castillo + Gibbons for Chipper Jones or something. Also Nevin is hurt so you won't be able to get anything for him right now.

Your pitching looks good to me although it looks like Marte won't start the year as the closer.

I'd also offer Maddux and Castillo for a better pitcher. Try for a good closer like Percival (you can try a wagner type but will likely get turned down). The truth is that you should deal Maddux because you have other starters to take his place and even in a worst case scenario you will still get more k's with another pitcher.
An unemployed jester is nobody's fool.

I really like your team and even more now that I just read that Sheff is going to be ready for opening day...

Yes I will drop Sheets and pick J Guillen to strenght your OF and as insurance for Sheff.

Start Castillo as your IF (place Nevin on DL)

Also I think you could go out and look for another OF with Gibbons and Maddux as trade baits.
