I know I'm overloaded with shortstops, but I think I could trade someone away for some starting pitching, I know im pretty weak there. Also, once Arod gets eligibility at 3rd and Reyes gets it at 2nd I think my hitting lineup will be alright. I also don't have any huge closers, but 2 of these mid-ranged closer equals a stud closer, I think.

Brian Lawrence, Jon Lieber -- Willis, Contreras, Lieber all could be good. Williams is decent. The other two I'm not to high on. You need at least 2 stud SP's here, IMO.

RP: J. Julio, B. Looper, S. Chacon, M. MacDougal, R. Biddle--Julio and Looper are okay, MacDougal COULD BE great, has some control issues though. Biddle and Chacon I'm not high on.

I also don't have any huge closers, but 2 of these mid-ranged closer equals a stud closer, I think. --don't know about that

--originally I was thinking no, but you could really use some power in the O, as well as a stud RP. I'm not saying do it, but that's the type iof trade you might consider. ARod is pretty darn valuable, though, and you have serious pitching problems to fix.

Do not do that trade. A-rod is worth much more. You should be able to get the best tier of pitchers (Pedro/Prior) and a good closer...Izzy/Percy/Guardado type.

Move Reyes into 2nd.

Trade Jeter for a Oswalt/Mulder/Hudson/Zito type.

You could also keep jeter, reyes, and A-rod. Move A-rod to third, reyes to 2nd, jeter to SS, and trade rolen if you get more value that way.

This is a yahoo league, Reyes isn't eligible for 2nd yet, and Arod isnt at 3rd yet. i think its like 15 games before they get it. I think i might drop chacon for a 2nd baseman.

Oof...and it's h2h...that's interesting.

I still would not do that deal.

You could possibly put up with losses in the first 2-3 weeks, but I would not want to do that, and neither should you.

I also notice you have an excess of closers, which I don't think you need all of. You could possibly package them with one of your starters (WILLIS) for an upgrade. Some people are still up on Willis because of all the pizazz, but that's what exactly it is. Pizazz.

I like to play 4-5 closers....helps with innings, and hopefully keeps the whip and era a little lower. They could pick up wins. If i play 4 closers and they all get 2 saves, thasts equal to a rivera and gagne getting 4 each. which is hard to do in a week, even for those guys

I agree with canibus, you need a 175 + so pitcher for Jeter who may chalk up 15 wins or more.

Maybe package the Matsui duo for a Garrett Anderson type RBI machine and 2B with upside like Orlando hudson.

I'm all about late closers and you should always be able to pick up good pitching late maybe like a Cliff Lee.

Dealing Jeter for a good SP is a good idea. I'd probably see if I could move Rolen for a similar type pitcher and if not look into an A-Rod deal that would net you a Prior or Pedro and maybe a slight upgrade on Hideki Matsui.
