Slightly old, but awesome to use in 12 team 5x5 leagues

That site has the average stats it would take to come in first in a particular category. Now the stats are from 2007 so they could be inflated or deflated in 2008, but I still think its very useful.

Comments/arguments/etc are welcome!

I've never played in a Yahoo league, but on a quick glance I have to assume that the rosters are very small. The first thing that jumps out at me is the batting averages - they seem quite high. In a standard league with corners, five OF, a UT, etc there is no way that many teams are hitting over .290.

Standard Yahoo 5x5's or no MI/CI and only 3 OF.

I think every year there's a request for those types of numbers. There are probably a few different sets floating around the Cafe somewhere... ;-D

I don't see the point of playing in a league like that - just throw names in a hat, give people their teams and hope for no injuries.... lol }:-)

Yeah, look down about 10 threads and you'll see it. Maybe the mods should make that a sticky or a FAQ.

yahoo needs to realize not everyone uses the standard settings, a lot of people like the CI/MI/extra OFs and Ps settings.

Most people do though, and I would imagine that's why they tailor their articles to those leagues.

I've been playing in fantasy leagues for 16 years and only internet leagues like Yahoo and CBS leagues use that type of roster setup. Any league I've ever seen that is made up of people playing with their friends, being self-run and administered, uses bigger rosters.

You just hit the nail on the head... 95% of people DO play on internet based leagues like Yahoo or CBS. Your league setup is no longer "standard".
