Vladimir Guerrero admitted Friday that he is one year older than his listed age of 33.
Guerrero, who rarely talks to the media, replied in spanish to a quote from manager Mike Scioscia about how his knee surgery might have turned the clock back a couple of years on his legs: "I feel good. I can’t say [like] 25, because, you know, I’m 34. But I feel a lot better. That’s where I’m at right now." The Angels later confirmed the news. Frankly, we always assumed Vlad was two or three years older than his listed age, so this qualifies as good news. His cousin, former Expos prospect Cristian Guerrero, was found to have lied about his birthdate during the agegate scandal of 2002. Mar. 6 - 6:37 pm et
Cheater! Banish him! Vlad ruined baseball!
"All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others." — Douglas Adams (1952-2001)
Like the steroids thing, I merely hope that any applicable law would impact him just as it would any other person. If it's not illegal, though, then who cares?
Maybe baseball should start suing these people for misrepresentation. They could probably recover some cash, right?
I'm willing to bet that he is older than 34. I think somewhere in 36 to 37 range. He probably just forgot how old he was supposed to be when he talked to the media.

That makes zero sense.
You think he admitted he lied... so he could lie again?
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
