Apparently CBS' value ranking in Roto and H2H leagues is based on "the most commonly used" categories, rather than the categories actually used in individual leagues. This has lead to some insane "values" placed on players in my H2H league. Anybody know any tricks around this so that you can get a quick idea of what guys were actually worth v. the player pool in past years?
I suppose I could start a Yahoo! league with the same stats and get a pretty good idea (though their algorithm values SBs too highly, IMHO - it's still pretty good, though).
Anybody got any *really* good ways of determining value? e.g. their own equations or spreadsheets?
Thanks in advance if anybody is able to offer advice on this.

If you go
here there's links to places that will calculate auction values; the Last Player Picked one seems pretty good.
Love the handle, btw.... the name of one of my squads is the Earl Weaver Gardeners.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Thanks, Man - I'm checking that out now.
"Earl Weaver's Gardeners" as in "Alice Sweet from Norfolk wants to know the best time to put in a tomato plant?"
Classic.
