C: J. Varitek ;-) pretty good, though I favor Kendall
C: J. Mauer -- this years' man in the spotlight, could be great
1B: M. Teixeira ;-)
1B: P. Konerko dunno, could prob. be stronger here
2B: M. Giles;-), though lack of Shef hurts
2B: R. Durham, okay
3B: S. Rolen;-)
SS: D. Jeter;-) could be worse
SS. K. Matsui;-) could be terrific
OF: M. Ramirez;-)
OF: C. Beltran;-)
OF: H. Matsui;-)
OF. R. Baldelli;-) very respectable OF overall
UTILITY: M. LeCroy good sub for C's, you prob. want better here though
SP: M. Mulder;-)
SP: R. Oswalt;-)
SP: J. Washburn okay I guess
SP: B. Myers--I like this kid, should be good
RP: R. Nen--huge injury risk, Heges next in line if Nen falters
RP: J. Nathan;-), but unproven
RP: G. Balfour, don't know about that one

Very wierd league, 2 of each fielding positions and only 7 pitchers?
Interesting.

WHo are some FA's. I bet I coiuld suggest some worth picking up if you let me know who is available...

And, you don't have a bench?

I guess i should have listed the team better than i did, I list the players by their position not by starters and bench.

It should look like this

C: Varitek
1B: Teixeira
2B: Giles
3B: Rolen
SS: Jeter
OF: M Ramirez
OF: Beltran
OF: H. Matsui
DH: LeCroy

BENCH: Mauer
BENCH: Konerko
BENCH: Durham
BENCH: K. Matsui
BENCH: Baldelli

SP: Mulder
SP: Oswalt
RP: Nen
RP: Nathan
P: Washburn
P: Myers
P: Balfour

you suggest i tell you what FA are out there, what position should i look at in the FA list.

The offense and starting pitcher looks air tight.

I think I would back up Nen and find a cheap closer in waiting like Cordero or Ryan Wagner.

ok, You want to cut Joe Mauer. He's a good pick in a keeper league but overated in terms of fantasy value this year. He's still a year or two away from hitting for power (he barely hit any hr's in the minors last year). You will still have LeCroy as a backup catcher anyway.

You want to move LeCroy out of your DH spot if you can (does this position have to be filled by an actual DH or can any hitter go here? If it has to be an actual Dh then LeCroy is fine. (I assume Phelps is gone).

Biddle sucks but will close. Ryan Wagner is great but won't close.

I'd also cut Konerko and probably Ray Durham (I suppose it depends how thin MI is). The truth is that the bulk of your bench should probably be made up of pitchers (likely 3 of 5 anyway). This will allow you take take some potential closers and starters with upside. You do want to hold on to Baldelli and Kaz. See if you can package Kaz to someone who needs a ss (along with a pitcher or Hitter in order to get yourself an upgrade at some starting position.

ok, If Dh can be filled by anyone you want to get LeCroy out of that spot. He won't get enough ab's to justify his being anything other than a catcher. You might even think about cutting him but it depends if you want a backup catcher or not.

I think Phelps will have a big year but his availability isn't as important if anyone can play DH.

By the way you can't count on Balfour as a pitcher this year. Is Edwin Jackson available or Adam Eaton?

So I think you want to cut atleast 3 of (and maybe 4) Konerko, Durham, LeCroy and Mauer. Cutting Durham depends on how badly othr people need a 2b.

I can drop LeCroy for Phelps

Jackson is gone but Eaton is available.

What is wrong with Balfour?

I think your looking for too much, too early, from Balfour. That said if you like him just hang onto him and see what he does. I've been known to be wrong. I would pick up Eaton (for mauer) he will get you k's and could have a big year. I'd probably pick up Phelps for LeCroy but that''s just me.

Other pitchers to look for include:Chacon, Graves, Riske, Wickman, (wagner is good)Armas, Can't really think of any starters who may be out their but I'm just working off the top of my head.
