lidge will not repeat the perfect season and hitters will lay off the slider.

They never have before, when he's had it working like he does; why would they suddenly start now?

they did when he was in houston, and he lost much confidence from it.

Lidge was a different pitcher while in Houston, as his whole approach to throwing which pitch and when was different. In Houston, 55-60% of the pitches he threw were fastballs, with about 40-45% sliders. In Philly, he completely altered his approach, and those numbers got switched. Last year, only 43% of his pitches were fastballs, and 56% were sliders. It would be pretty difficult to lay off slider when that is the pitch he most often throws.

I went with old reliable, Mo Rivera.

Until Rivera's arm falls off, he's a top-3 closer. Enough said.

I voted K-Rod but if we're going by nicknames it's Lights Out hands down.

Has to be Lidge.

K-Rod is quite meh for where he is getting drafted. People who think they have to draft him immediately after Papelbon in drafts are warped in the head. :-S :-S :-S
