Lidge was a different pitcher while in Houston, as his whole approach to throwing which pitch and when was different. In Houston, 55-60% of the pitches he threw were fastballs, with about 40-45% sliders. In Philly, he completely altered his approach, and those numbers got switched. Last year, only 43% of his pitches were fastballs, and 56% were sliders. It would be pretty difficult to lay off slider when that is the pitch he most often throws.
K-Rod is quite meh for where he is getting drafted. People who think they have to draft him immediately after Papelbon in drafts are warped in the head.
