Lidge was a different pitcher while in Houston, as his whole approach to throwing which pitch and when was different. In Houston, 55-60% of the pitches he threw were fastballs, with about 40-45% sliders. In Philly, he completely altered his approach, and those numbers got switched. Last year, only 43% of his pitches were fastballs, and 56% were sliders. It would be pretty difficult to lay off slider when that is the pitch he most often throws.

I'd vote for Rodriguez if it was guaranteed that he will close out 60 games again, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Until Rivera's arm falls off, he's a top-3 closer. Enough said.

K-Rod is quite meh for where he is getting drafted. People who think they have to draft him immediately after Papelbon in drafts are warped in the head.
