I have the 9th pick in a 10 team H2H draft. Standard scoring with standard positions (no CI or MI).
Keeper league. My keepers:

Chris Davis 1B/3B 16th round
Lincecum 7th "
Halladay 9th "

Looks like Arod could fall to me. Originally was going to go with a combination of Tex and Utley/Beltran first two picks. I have Davis to play at 3rd base. Still thinking to stay with my picks. Should Arod enter into my thinking or should I pass.

A-Rod has opted not to have the surgery right now. Which could be really good for his owners... or even worse for his owners. We'll just have to see.

with Arod out 6/9 weeks, do I take a risk at pick 9 or 12? Keeper does not enter into it as we don't keep anyone drafted in first 3 rounds. But, H2H league, would you pick him?

It's hard to say this, but honestly I would pass. You don't want to be nervous about your top pick actually playing - if his recovery is delayed and/or he starts out slow, your season is basically F'd. I'd pass on ARod and take more of a sure thing - let someone else gamble on their 1st round pick.
