I gotta think that Giles is a better bet for an outfielder despite Beltran's 30 steals. Giles hits 20 points higher, gets more RBIs, and steals 10-20 himself. Thoughts?

Gotta consider the scenario. If I'm drafting for a keeper league, I probably go with Beltran, one year league, I go with Giles. If I have an existing team, I'd look at the rest of my team and see if I think it can contend this year, if so I'd get/keep Giles, if I wasn't going to contend and had my choice of the two, I'd probably go with the younger Beltran. Also gotta consider the format, Giles K/BB ratio makes him more valuable than Beltran in points leagues. In roto, depending on the other players you have, Beltran gives you the opportunity to finish strong in the steals category.
As much as I like Beltran Giles has done in now for the last 3 or 4 years. Beltran is a great player and give him this year and maybe next (depending where he is traded too) to consider him as an elite outfielder.
I'd pick Beltran just before Giles. The only true edge that he has is in steals. He might hit for more power this year (probably not as long as he's in KC) but the caft of the matter is that I would take either guy and be cool!
Have you checked out Beltrans Home/Road splits? At home he hits like a madman, home being the 2nd best hitters park in baseball (Better than Enron). On the road, he turns into Rey Ordonez.
He'll still steal, but with the trade rumors floating around and the high chance that he'll be moved (I keep hearing detroit which would be hell) makes me suggest Steady Brian Giles. Beltran could be in for a huge drop once he leaves Kaufman.
