Ok heres the deal!!I will try to make this as short as possible....Thanks in advance for any and all input...During my draft in a H2H points league there was several runs on big name pitchers..By the 4th round the big names had been taken...To counteract this I drafted top guys at shallow positions..I currently have Boone and Vidro at 2nd and Nomar, Renteria, and Matsui at SS.My pitching is weak although I do have good closers..I was thinking a team that is starting Rollins or Valentin at SS or Alomar or Relaford at 2nd would be interested in trading..Well as I talked to a guy today he says to me that everyone is gonna wait til it gets closer to the season when I am desperate and they get a better deal...For those who dont know......A powerful offense is almost required in H2H points leagues....With that in mind would you advise sitting on these guys until I get an offer I like????Or jumping the gun and taking something I dont think is worth it????


So far I have been offered Colon for Boone and JD Drew for Matsui.....Again thank you for advice....

Wait til you get something you like, still, you seem to be in a bad position. Stocking up on value is a risky strategy.

wow you weren'y lying when u said a run. Fortunately you have closers that are good (rivera and benitez). What i would do is place a post saying that your excess infielders are on the block and nobody is untouchable. Try to shop around your guys, but don't accept below par value for anybody just because you want to balance your team. Hopefuly, the right trade will come along. Just don't rush!! You're in a position of power for teams that need infield help. Remember that! DOn't accept the other deals that you listed by the way

Ugh, I thought my pitching was ugly. You really have to wait until you get an equitable deal or you're going to be sunk this year. You can't give more value than you're getting back and improve some else's team more than you improve your own.

If it comes down to it I can just start 4 closers and mix three starters in and out when they have 2 start weeks.I hate to do that but if I have to for a while I will.I am thinking 2 or 3 weeks into the season they will come calling when they see I got 30 point guys on my bench while they have Rollins getting them 10.Bad backup plan I know but its all I got..

BTW Schilling Prior went in round 1

Vazquez Unit Wood Pedro in 2

and the Hudson Mussina and those types went by the 4th or 5th...

Renteria or Nomar should fetch quite a bit. What are you asking for either of those guys?

I would prefer to keep Nomar but I was thinking if I did he should be worth a Schilling type..And with Renteria I was thinking a Vazquez or Mussina type...

I doubt that you get reasonable value for any of your overstocked guys. Everyone in the league knows that you are one less guy to worry about when it comes to the league title. Maybe you will get lucky and someone will make you a good offer. That's about all you can hope for. Definitely a strategy that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
