Anyway, for hotdogs it's mustard, onions, kraut, and once in a while relish is okay. That's it. That's the list.
I managed a hot dog joint for a couple of years in college. Once a lady asked me for mayo to put on her hot dog and got all pissy when I said we didn't even stock mayonaise because it dosn't belong on hot dogs.
Interesting thread. Lots of people with mayo dislikes, but it's one of the most common condiments.
I grew up eating Miracle Whip because we couldn't afford anything else. Sandwiches need something, whether it's mayo, Miracle Whip, oil or meat drippings. Dry sandwiches are like eating sand.
Hot dogs - mustard, ketchup, onions, relish. That's a good dog.
Potato salad - Mustard FTW! Mayo potato salad is gross. Macaroni salad is the work of the devil.

No chili?
And not just chili, but what about peppers, salsa/pico... the list is endless. Art, I thought you lived in or near enough to big cities to have hotdog carts around. Any hotdog cart you go to is going to have a good dozen toppers. You're telling us you've never had a loaded dog?
