I can't decide which is more disgusting vegemite or head cheese. Maybe we need another poll?

I actually like head cheese.

Anyway, for hotdogs it's mustard, onions, kraut, and once in a while relish is okay. That's it. That's the list.

I managed a hot dog joint for a couple of years in college. Once a lady asked me for mayo to put on her hot dog and got all pissy when I said we didn't even stock mayonaise because it dosn't belong on hot dogs.

Interesting thread. Lots of people with mayo dislikes, but it's one of the most common condiments.

I grew up eating Miracle Whip because we couldn't afford anything else. Sandwiches need something, whether it's mayo, Miracle Whip, oil or meat drippings. Dry sandwiches are like eating sand. :-{

Hot dogs - mustard, ketchup, onions, relish. That's a good dog. ;-D

Potato salad - Mustard FTW! Mayo potato salad is gross. Macaroni salad is the work of the devil.

And not just chili, but what about peppers, salsa/pico... the list is endless. Art, I thought you lived in or near enough to big cities to have hotdog carts around. Any hotdog cart you go to is going to have a good dozen toppers. You're telling us you've never had a loaded dog?

No chili?

I consider chili dogs and hot dogs two different things. So technically, no chili on a hot dog. But yes to chili on a chili dog.
