I've never run a points league before

I'm been commishing leagues for almost 8 years now, and I've never done a points league. I wanted to give it a shot. I wanted the same number of pitching cats as hitting cats, and I came up with this scoring system. Does it look reasonable enough? Not penalizing strike outs was a conscious decision.

Keep in mind when A pitcher throws a No Hitter is not just 5 points.
It's 5 for the no hitter, 5 for the complete game, 10 for the win, etc
Same with a home run for a hitter, points for the homer, hits, run scored, and EBI's combined.

Well, you have given a single - 2 points (H+1B), but an RBI only 1 point. I'm not sure a 2 out single is more valuable than an RBI. I like the fact that you don't penalize for a K, but maybe also think about penalizing for hitting into a DP.

Is a save as valuable as a win? ... maybe/maybe not. A guy who has a 6 inning QS - say 3 runs on 6 hits, 4 Ks, 2 BBs generates 6 points if he is not involved in the decision. Is that OK compared to a guy who gets a 1 inning hold - 0 runs, 0 hits = 7 points? I don't have a good answer, but I would tend to say no. Also that SP generates 6 points over a 5 day period, which won't come close to the points a hitter generates over the same period. Depending on how many hitters and pitchers are in your lineups, there may be an unequal distribution of points.

Thank you, that was an over sight. Now I can remove the No Hitter stats, I didn't want it in there anyway.

A 1B+SB is worth more than a 2B? Doesn't make sense to me.

Also in real baseball a CS is generally considered to cost twice as much as two SBs. That is, if you are stealing at less than a 66% stolen base rate you are costing your team runs. However most fantasy players are so obsessed with SBs that I think their head would explode if you charged CS at more than 1.

Shoul? SVs=Ws. I would thin something along the lines of HLD=5, SV=7 and W=10 would be more appropriate.
