Haven't posted about my team for a while, but we had a big game last week against the 2nd-placed team (we're top). Also the only team to have beaten us so far this season.
They scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st, but after that we kept the bats quiet, eventually winning 11-5, and establishing a 2-game lead. (It's a 20-game season, and we're 9-2 at the moment).
My performance? Well, we got let down by the umpire at the last minute, so guess who had to fill in?! (The home team is responsible for finding the ump, so if he doesn't show up, then a member of the team has to do it). But that's not why we won the game!!
Had an interesting play at the plate to call (which actually went the way of the visitors), and I missed a balk by the visiting pitcher, but overall it went OK. The only player to get a bit mouthy was one of my teammates, so I can't have done too bad a job!!

I can throw submarine (Cla Meredith style) without pain but the velocity and movement are way down. But all the more time to focus on hitting, right?
