2nd & 3rd rd pick from team that's picking 1st overall

10x10 head to head redraft, I decide that my first overall pick will be Hanley. However, I'm having trouble targetting possible guys for my next few picks

Here are the stats: hitting: AVG, HRS, R, RBIS, BB, OBP, xtra base hits, sbs, ks, walks
Pitching: Wins, losses, ERA , whip, bb, ks, saves, complete games, quality starts, innings

I see these guys being gone, along with the guys who will def. be gone before pick #24: Howard, Lincecum, Rollins, Longoria, Holliday, santana, Pedroia, Manny ramirez, Berkman, Fielder,Kinsler, Morneau
I need to pick 2 out of these guys availabile. I was thinking of going SP/hitter right here

carlos lee, beltran, soriano, hamels, Sabathia, Halladay, Webb, BJ Upton, Brandon Phillips, Ortiz, Aramis, Adrian Gonzalez, Matt Kemp, Ichiro, Quentin,

I was thinking of going Halladay for a pitcher because of the innings, complete games and quality starts. I'm clueless for a hitter. I want a power guy but not really thrilled about landing a Carlos Lee, Beltran or Soriano right there.

You should be thrilled if any 1 of those 3 you listed falls back to you when you pick again. I bet you they'll be gone already. Just take the best 2 players available. When I pick number one I don't rush taking a pitcher early unless a guy like Linc falls back to you at your second pick. I think the luxury of back to back picks enables you to grab 2 solid guys quick so you don't necessarily need to worry about grabing the SPs so early.

So I should probably take 2 hitters instead? I look at the quality starts, complete games and innings and figure a guy like Halladay is much more valuable in this league than he is in roto. I know last year a huge SP run happened in mid rd 2 so that's why I kind of thought about taking a starter right there.

Well like I said you gotta look at who's available. If you could end up with say something liek Halladay and Morneau, then thats solid. But if theres still a bunch of quality pitchers available, going something like Morneau/Aramis with your next two then grabbing a pair like Felix/Shields looks like a solid beginning.

Looking at MDP don't be to sure that they will be gone when you pick.

MDP
23-Pedroia
24-Fielder
25-Manny
26-Morneau
27-Upton
28-Lee

I think you might have a better choice of players than you think
