Oswalt is a nice safe pitcher but to me to see his velocity go down and how rough of a beginning of a season he had. I'd grab Liriano based on potential and what he did in the 2nd quarter, even tho Oswalt did well also. Honestly to tell you the truth, I'm just the biggest fan of Oswalt and rather bank on a possible future multiple Cy-Young winner like Liriano

Oswalt is the "safe" option, but I definitely prefer the strikeout potential and upside of Liriano.

Oswalt, just less risk.

I would go with the upside of Liriano, Oswalt has been fighting some injury concerns last year......small frame and allot of innings already on that arm.

If you think Oswalt is a bigger injury risk than Liriano that you aren't really paying attention.

I am currently deciding between Billingsley and Oswalt. I will probably do the same thing you did and repost my dilemma too :-)

Anyway, I like Oswalt over Liriano. I like to look at how a pitcher finishes the year and Oswalt was brilliant. In my mind, I need one more good healthy year from Liriano to move him ahead of Oswalt.
90% of my posts are from complaining about my team :)

I'm interested to see how Liriano turns out this year.

I gotta go with Oswalt for sure though.

Liriano is extremely tempting and for some reason I would roll the dice with him although Oswalt is the safer/smarter pick
