Oh Gee, should I do this deal and trade away my first 4 picks? I'm just venting lol. I always do a few public leagues near the beginning of the season. I play them all out, but really just see them as mock drafts because they usually flooded with cheaters and morons like this guy.

Just for kicks, post the worst trade offer you've gotten this season.

I quit playing in public leagues 3 years ago because of this nonsense. Play in 2 very competitive private leagues and that's enough. You can do mock drafts without actually playing in public leagues and save yourself the torment.

good luck

no trade offers this year. we draft in 1 to 2 weeks in our leagues

Hey Johnny, you should hang out here more often. This place is awesome Much better than the other forum).

I just do a few public ones on CBS, maybe it's more just for fresh competition, I'm not sure why I still let crap like this surprise me.

I do a public league a year: meaning one for hoops or baseball. As long as you're the commish, it's ok (no cheating).

Talk this one out with the other guy before slamming the door on him. It's a long season, and you were young once.

This place is certainly more active, but now, how could I denigrate where I met you?

Ten-D can totally vouch for my inability to successfully learn mockdraftcentral's interface whilst drafting. I'm surprised Domaso Garcia wasn't my 2B after that mess.

I think I'm done over there, I just can't handle the politics and the hypocrisy under which the site is run. I'll still pop in for business regarding the fantasy leagues, but I've just lost my passion for that place. They don't understand they are running it in to the ground. They're all gung ho about the new members, but where is everyone who was there a year ago? The new flood of members will likely be short lived as well. I feel like I've stayed in a sinking boat trying to do as much rescue work as I can, but at some point you just have to jump ship and save yourself, you know what I mean. No hard feelings, against anyone there. I've just moved on. This place is so successful because it is run based on respect for members... all members. You'd be hard pressed to find another sports forum as active as this one. I'm enjoying it here.

I'll be sorry to see you go if that's what's going to happen. Maybe I get along over there by turning down all offers to join staff. There's nothing stopping you from returning to regular member status and floating in and out.

Probably, not the place to be discussing this, but being on staff isn't all it's cracked up to be. You can find me here and I'll probably stay in the keeper leagues and stuff over there (including my 20 teamer). You know we'll be doing leagues together. You, Wise, Eno, etc... that's some of the best competition I've ever faced. I wouldn't walk away from that. ;-)

I had a public team two years ago that seemed legit (I tend to have good luck with these, as I very rarely have had to deal with crazy commish's). One month into the season, my closers were off to a rough start. A guy in the league noted this, and then proceeded to offer me Hoffman, Izzy, and Scott Shields for my Crawford, Mariano Rivera, and Berkman! The sad part was, that this guy thought he was doing ME a favor. I remember him explaining to me that I had TOO MUCH power and speed, and should rid myself of some to help me with saves; stating that I would win the offensive cats by too much, and fall short because I would finish middle of the pack in saves! I could tell that the moron was serious, and actually saw this as fair! Just to mess with the fool, I declined the offer, and picked up two setup men (whom I knew would move into the stopper role) off of the WW. After I think 2 weeks, I then offered this owner one of my pick-ups (I can't remember who they were) for his 2nd best SP, citing that he had way too many wins already, and should give up some SPs so not to win by too much. :-D
