Help me with my stratergy please WHIR

Postby shoelessjoetara » Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:23 pm

I have the 8th pick in my 14 team roto league. I am thinking I should get Miggy, Braun or Sizemore probably. Who would be a nice get to match with these guys for my 2nd round pick? If for some reason I land Sizemore, I would want to pick up someone that would help out the average and RBI not that he hurts so much but ...

Just take the best available guy. As far as offsetting a possible subpar average in the 1st round with your 2nd round pick I think your best bets would be Manny or Holliday, but do you really want to start your draft with two OFs? Kinsler or Utley are good options there, but you can't go wrong with Lincecum or Santana either.

Try leaving out the second 'r'. You'll thank me later.

I think the only combo I'd try to avoid is Sizemore/Fielder since you will be fighting an uphill battle in AVG.

I wouldn't take J Santana this year but that is more a gut feeling than anything. If Lincecum was there with your 2nd pick I'd consider him but that is the only SP I'd look at.

Other than that the top 20ish picks are all decent pairings.
