kimchi - this is such a tough decision. most ppl have told me it's best to keep fuentes on the cheap, but i feel like soria is probably a $20 player. the only reason to take fuentes is b/c i never like paying for top end closers.
also, if i throw soria and marmol back into the pool, someone will spend $20 on soria and $15 on marmol. this takes $ out of the pool and helps me get stud hitters a little cheaper. should i take this into account?
It's a risk, but I'd bet on Fuentes. Angels always play close games, plus they just threw a ton of $$$ at him so he'll get a longer leash if he struggles at first. The $ is right for you too.
I like Marmol here. Kevin Gregg is not the answer, and Marmol will be closing before long, with nasty stuff. Fuentes just got his contract after pitching lights out for almost 2 years looking for a trade/deal. I could see him take his foot off the gas. I like Marmol.

You're over thinking. Keep the best player at half-price, let the others bid on the question mark players.
Soria has arguably the best stuff of the group, and i believe he is by far the youngest. the royals look to improve over the next few years, and i'd like to lock him up now before he hits $20.
if i knew marmol had the job i'd go with him. closers are so volatile that unless it's rivera, papelbon, nathan or k-rod i'd take the cheapest one. fuentes is the cheapest and happens to pitch for the best team that plays many close games. save the 3 bucks and go with him.
