Kemp or Hamels?

Postby JOBA » Tue Mar 03, 2009 1:48 pm

I'm in a 12 team, H2H league, with the following cats: R/HR/RBI/SB/TB/AVG/OPS for batters and W/SV/K/ERA/WHIP/Kper9/TB

We start: C-1B-2B-3B-SS-OF-OF-OF-UTL-UTL SP-SP-RP-RP-P-P-P-P (40 IP min each week)
5 BENCH SPOTS

I will be keeping Soriano, Aram, Howard, and Hamilton. Who would you keep as your 5th keeper? There is also no limit on keepers, so I could keep them for the next 15 years if I wanted. All players are equal, dont cost different picks, more money, etc.

Really I like Hammels and since most of your keepers are Hitters you need a Ace.

Without factoring in injury risk, Hamels is by far your best choice. He has a QS pretty much every time he takes the mound. As a keeper you cant go wrong with either but in terms of helping your team win now you should be grabbing an ace at SP since you already have some nice bats.

I'd go with Hamels. Seems harder to find good consistent young pitching than hitting.

And i think you should be deciding between Aram and Hamels. I would acutally trade both of them for ARod or Wright. Why not overpay for a better keeper than throwing him back in the mix
