Lincecum at #10? whir

Postby The Mighty Trow » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:59 pm

First year keeper league, I've secured the first First and Tenth picks in a 10-team league. My next pick is 20th overall.

6x6 - Triples, Quality Starts (and OBP instead of Avg)

I'm enamored with the idea of locking up the best hitter and pitcher for the next three years. Am I reaching too soon? MDP shows that I could have Hamilton, Howard, or Tex at the 10-spot instead of the Freak.

Your thoughts?

leave your link, I'll respond in kind!

If taking Lincecum would clearly lock up the best pitcher for three years I'd consider it... but I think that's a pretty strong assumption. He is clearly better than Santana or Liriano or...? Sure he might be, but that's far from guaranteed in my mind. Personally I wouldn't take him over Santana (unless there is a major salary issue you are not mentioning). So I agree with the previous post. I would build an offense first with a 25-27 year old stud.

Please help with mine:

;-D Offense always beats SP when all else is equal.
