Just came across this note in Yahoo for Albert:
ESPN.com reports St. Louis Cardinals 1B Albert Pujols (elbow) has a high-grade ligament sprain in his right elbow, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
I haven't been able to find anything else on this. Is this just the same old injury or did something happen today?

He has had the sprain for years now. They cleaned it out but it is still there.

I just found it odd that they posted it today since he hasn't shown any ill effects and the injury has been around for so long. What's next, a "Titanic sinks!" headline?

There was a mass panic by everyone last year regarding this so this is not news.

it's a "oh by the way" throwaway line in an article explaining why he won't be playing in Thursday's exhibition against the Dominican Republic (here's a hint: it's not his elbow).
I think this is just the same old injury he's had the entire time.

I'll say the same thing I said about Pujols this time last year: That elbow could explode any day, so stay away from him!
I'll be as right as I was last year, too.

Keep wreves in General Talk in 2011!
