100% agree. Hated the use of Sounds of Silence especially.

That was definitely one of them. Completely misplaced.

The other one was Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Good song, but it really didn't work during the sex scene. It started kind of abruptly and didn't really fit the scene.

There was one more too that I can't remember right now.

Sorry but I don't tend to focus so much on men's genitals when I watch a movie. Even when watching pr0n.

Avoided this thread until today ($6 IMAX Tuesday!). Danny, Bubastis wasn't in it for very long, but was very cool looking. Surprisingly realistic.

The thing I was most concerned about was Rorschach's portrayal, and Haley/Snyder did not disappoint. He made the movie, IMO.

French fry grease FTW.

The song is about adultery, which fits pretty closely in my opinion.

Sounds of Silence? It was used in the Graduate but I don't think the song itself is about adultery.

My bad, I quoted the wrong post. I meant to say that for "Hallelujah".

Basically my point was meant for you. ;-D

Ah. Yeah that's true, but I still think Cohen's voice, the arrangement and that scene didn't fit right. Maybe Buckley's version could have been better.

the hallelujah was WAY misplaced. And the acting in that part was terrible.

Sounds of Silence was misplaced too. It's so iconic in the Graduate, and in Old School, I can't hear that song without thinking of it.

I didn't think the soundtrack was all that. I like all of the songs, but their use was sometimes questionable.
