I can keep 8.
14-team mixed league. $280 budget. 5x5, traditional except use k/9 instead of K's.

I have 10 candidates:
Elijah Dukes $2
Tim Lincecum $10
Chris Davis $12
Carlos Gomez $12
Albert Pujols $45 (for example, Hanley, A-Rod, etc. with inflation go mid 50s)
Clayton Kershaw $5
Rick Nolasco $12
Joaq Soria $17
AJ Burnett $22
Dan Haren $24

Which 2 to cut and why?

Cut AJ, because I'd rather pay the 2 extra bucks for Haren.
and Carlos Gomez, he's just another slap hitter with legs. You can find one cheaper.

Burnett, Haren, and Gomez are either at value or are too expensive, so I'd cut two of those three (probably AJ and Gomez).

yup. gomez is an easy cut and i wouldnt be surprised if you could get AJ back for less in the draft.

Gomez should be $3 and Burnett also should be cut

Wow, no love for Go Go Gomez or AJ Burnett. Nolasco doesn't have the track record and could be an injury risk after such an innings increase. I see the risk in Gomez but he could also be a poor man's BJ Upton this year. AJ Burnett has a better k rate (impt w k/9 cat) and gb rate than Haren and should win a lot of games with the Yankees.
