I'm trying to decide between 1B J Votto, OF H Pence, OF C Hart. I had Hart last year and am a bit sour on him (hence I didn't keep him). I like Pence and filling an OF slot is nice. But, I'm expecting big things from Votto....Which would you pick?

My 2009 Projections:
1B Votto .291, 26 HR, 95 RBI, 85 R, 10 SB
OF Pence .287, 25 HR, 90 RBI, 85 R, 12 SB
OF Hart .282, 21 HR, 85 RBI, 80 R, 23 SB

Hart and Pence are about the same, except Hart likes to run more.

But I like Votto's power and average potential, plus he's about the only first baseman to produce some stolen bases. He's younger than both others. I'd go with Joey, then Hart, then Pence.

I think I like Votto too, but is it too early to lock up my Utility bat? Especially given I still need 2 OF?
Between Hart & Pence, I like Pence in HR and AVG, Hart in SB. I probably should go Hart but I had him last year and he really didn't do anything for me down the stretch. I'd almost like to try a different direction if comparable.

Votto.

Don't worry about locking in a position like Util early. There are plenty of OF's you can get in the next 4-6 rounds who will be fine. Taking Votto here is a great value pick.
