Yea, a-rod went on 60 minutes I think it was and denied it,anyone can say no
Arod had no reason to tell the truth he thought the records had been destroyed. This was pujols bringing this up himself, bringing his own religion into the fact, all the while the list is at large and everyone knows it is. If he did do it all i'm saying is that he would have probably have kept quit and waited to see what happened first before publicly blasting it himself.
Keep in mind that the players likely have already been told whether they were on the list by the MLBPA. If Pujols knows he passed the test back then, he has nothing to worry about.

I'd look at taking these guys off,
Helton definitely took the roids. A baseball announcer who was good friends with the Colorado manager at the time let it leak out. Evidently the manager at the time found out about Helton taking them, and proceeded to talk him out of using them any further. He told him that he was a great hitter without them and that he didn't need them. You can see the drop in HRs that happened afterward. Of course it was the back problems that eventually sapped him completely of his power swing.
So, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that any/all of those guys took them at one point or another.

I'm curious what kind of justification you'd have for removing any of them.
Honestly, nothing really. Just more of gut feeling than anything. I didn't know of Heltons' situation so I guess you can take him off. Pujols/Cabrera have been mashing since they where 18 so if they are juicing it hasn't changed much for them. Biggio is one I was surprised everyone thought was juicing none of his numbers seem to show where he was doing that. Gonzalez may have had 1 huge year, but otherwise his numbers seemed to kinda balance accordingly from one year to the next. And Andres? I've just always liked the "big cat"

The funny thing about steroids is the fact it doesn't evidently affect all players the same. Or maybe it depends on what exact steroid they are using. I don't know. Freddie Sanchez is the best example of this. Everybody knows he was busted for using, but look at his numbers. He's never hit more than 11 HRs in a season... Maybe he was caught early before getting a great deal of use out of them. I don't know. But then you have all the mediocre players busted too who probably didn't sniff 30 HRs either. So, in conclusion, steroids are a very tricky subject.
