Using ESPN 09 Custom Leagues for the first time. They don't have minimum innings settings, so we are using a "house rule" of a minimum 5 starts per matchup. My question is should someone break this house rule, can I go back in retroactively and manually change the results of the week? I am the league manager. I e-mailed ESPN but got a jibberish answer.

Also, we are using 8 teams in the playoff and want to reseed. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. Hoping some have used ESPN in the past.

If I recall correctly, it is possible to do the stat editing. I do not know about the reseeding question.

I have been using ESPN for 3 years now and yes you can at any point during the season go back and adjust the final score of the game. I am almost positive that before the playoffs start they give you the option to re seed.

My question about reseeding is more related to an NFL-style playoffs. We are debating between a 7-team/bye for #1 seed format or an 8-team/no bye format where each round will be reseeded where the highest seed plays the lowest seed. So I guess what I'm asking is can the matchups be changed after the playoffs have already started? Thanks in advance.

Yes, 3-year ESPN user here, and I can confirm that you can edit both matchup results and playoff seeds.

Trojan, can you answer another question for me?
Is it possible to look at the total innings pitched per team for specifically that week, even if it is not a stat category that we use? That stats page does last seven days - would it be on the scoreboard, maybe in the full box score?

I'm fairly (but not totally) positive that IP is tracked in the full box score, even if your league doesn't use it as a category.

Wait! No! I was wrong. You can NOT edit the scores of a H2H matchup. Sorry for the confusion!

This, along with the lack of a minimum, is a major flaw with ESPN IMO. I've gotten around it in my leagues by using IP as a category. It's actually been better than you might think, but it's still ridiculous that I even had to do it.

I keep asking ESPN why they won't add a minimum as an option and they never give a straight answer. It's really weird.
